Awesome Culture, Shaky Future Prospects
I really loved the culture that Yelp cultivated.
More so than any other company that I've been at, the people were friendly and fostered a true sense of community and belonging.
The company's future prospects are shaky and uncertain. Competition from large companies like Google and Facebook places the company in a very risky spot. It is very obvious that the company execs are aware of this, as there is a certain atmosphere of stinginess when it comes to team budgets and company events.
