I'm from Japan. One day, their senior recruiter called me about their Senior Software Engineer opportunity. We talked about their requirements and my background.
At some stage, she challenged, "Did your teammates challenge your English? Because I don't understand what you are saying." Then, I had to rephrase my expression until the end of the talk.
After that, she arranged a tech interview for next week. That was a talk with a manager, but he seemed absent-minded from the start and it lasted about 20 minutes.
To be honest, I was shocked, as I've never encountered this kind of rudeness from a recruiter at the screening stage. I thought it was just a casual company under average before I checked their rates on Glassdoor. Yes, I was shocked again; they got pretty high rates.
So, to me, I will never ever pick up their calls again and will not recommend their products.
