Applied online and got a call from a recruiter a few days later. They set up time to talk with the hiring manager. We went over some basic questions, and I moved to the final round.
Had two days of interviews, which were relatively easy. The staff software engineer in one interview was rather egotistical and intentionally asked trick questions to feel better about themselves. The interpersonal round revealed the team was perpetually fighting fires and other red flags. I got the vibe the team was desperately trying to replace someone important who had left recently.
Got an offer from the recruiter a few days later, but for less than they initially quoted, both for base salary and stock. The recruiter said I had to accept it within a few days or else it would expire. I gladly turned down the offer.
They made me sign an NDA.
