Zendesk is very oriented around doers. It's a very distributed and small work team which moves autonomously and fast. Getting stuff done is all people seem to really care about. How refreshing. Organizational hierarchy is hardly noticeable. The culture is not "startup manufactured" as so many new startups are; it's genuinely very contemporary, maybe because the company had original roots in Copenhagen. All this combines to a great place to work.
Sometimes I wonder if the company is ruthless enough to keep growing or stay alive.
I mean, it's a nice place. I'd hate to see if we got into a fight with Salesforce.com.
Think Big
Straightforward. There were 3 rounds of interviews. The final round was 2 hours long. The rejection email didn't contain any feedback; it just said you are not selected. It would be great if recruiters respected candidates' time and responded to em
I did two technical interviews and one final interview with the hiring manager. Everyone is so accommodating and professional. The interview questions are kind of repetitive and easy. I did enjoy the interviewer's humor, though.
Be yourself and don't try to "fake it"; they appreciate honesty and a good personality. You may need to gain experience, but they would give you the opportunity if you are a bright mind.
