The interview asked me to solve a medium-level LeetCode question on any online compiler. I took around 20 minutes and solved the question. The interviewer then asked me to input some custom test cases suggested by him, and my code ran on all of them except one.
I asked him to give me some time to update, but the interviewer was very arrogant. He said, "This is not the only input my code will fail; there will be many inputs." He then tried giving me inputs for another hour.
My code passed almost 85-90% of the inputs, but it was not satisfactory.
In the end, the interviewer copied my code and pasted it into LeetCode, from where the problem was copied. As expected, the code didn't work as I had written it for manual inputs, not the auto-generated inputs used in LeetCode.
By this time, I was fully frustrated. The interviewer then said it was getting very late, so he gave me the last 5 minutes to make my code suitable for LeetCode inputs. At that moment, I did not want to waste more time, so I took my leave.
PS - The interviewer was also an SDET-II. This was the worst interview I had in my life.
Some Medium-level question from LeetCode.
