I used Hired to look for new positions in the market and applied for this Mobile Apps Engineer role at Zillow Group.
First stage was a quick recruiter call. The next stage was a 40-minute call with the Hiring Manager, consisting of iOS experience and iOS technical questions.
The next step was a take-home test that required building an app with a UICollectionView. It had to be completed in an hour.
After 3 or 4 days, I got contacted for next steps and scheduled the on-site interview at Zillow offices in SF.
The interview went from 1 PM to 5 PM and consisted of:
These were not really LeetCode/algorithm questions but mostly iOS knowledge with a bit of CS fundamentals.
The take-home test consisted of building an app using a UICollectionView that fetched images from the server.
The onsite interview was mainly iOS technical questions using the whiteboard; describing the building of a chat app, a contacts app, etc.
