Software Engineer Intern Interview Experience - Irvine, California

Process

The interview process involved:

  • One initial technical interview.
  • A week later, two technical interviews back-to-back.

They asked me complex system design questions when I was only a first-year student. I think they expect candidates to already have some sort of background, despite this being an entry-level position.

Questions

Some LeetCode easy questions, which I don't remember.

Then a LeetCode medium question.

Next, I was asked how to optimize Zillow's website for displaying images.

Should they be stored on the user's browser or on Zillow's servers? The question didn't make sense to me at the time.

Was this helpful?
