The interview process went smoothly enough and followed the lines of other interviews I've been a part of. It included a phone screen with a recruiter, a technical phone screen, and then an onsite interview.
However, the overall experience was extremely frustrating. I received a verbal offer, only to have it rescinded a few days later when I inquired about the status of the written offer. As a candidate, this was obviously disheartening and disappointing. I was given the reason that management had changed the requirements of the role and therefore had to pass on me. As a professional courtesy, one would think this should have been settled upon before a verbal offer.
Whatever the reason, I sincerely hope this doesn't happen on a regular basis to candidates interviewing for Zillow.
