The whole process was quite enjoyable at the beginning. The recruiter and hiring manager were both decent people with whom I had fulfilling conversations.
When speaking with a peer engineer, we focused entirely on my technical aptitude. The session came to an abrupt end when we ran out of time; I had no opportunity to ask my own questions.
This was a negative experience because I was ghosted afterward. I followed up multiple times, warmly and professionally, with the recruiter and hiring manager, and gave them ample time to respond, but received nothing. I realize that I may not be everyone's cup of tea or meet the required skill set, but some feedback after what started as a positive experience would have been nice.
Update: I received a boilerplate rejection letter on a Saturday morning, the day after this review was published.
