The offer pretty decent benefits.
Zoom used to have a great culture, but they hired extremely bad management and have created a very toxic culture. They were a company that cared about their employees; now they just want to cast blame and target employees they want to get rid of because of personal vendettas. They don't put people in a position to thrive or treat them like people. There are a few small groups that are good, but upper management just wants to cast blame and rule by fear. They literally said, "If you don't like the management style, leave," not, "Oh, that sounds toxic; that should be fixed." They care more about their managers than the techs who keep things running. I was doing the work of four people for almost a year and working 14-hour days, 7 days a week. There's no such thing as work-life balance here. Everything Eric said and promised was a lie. Also, if you try to stand up and say, "I'm not implementing this because of security vulnerabilities," they punish you for it.
For Eric. You have a cancer in your company, and it's starting at the VP level. It was great when it was a flat organization, but it turned into lords and serfs. You have a whole program that's always at each other's throats because of horrible management, just trying to cast blame on people. The reason this program failed is because of management (lack thereof), not for the people working ridiculous hours trying to make it a success.
The interview process was not good. HR did not communicate things on time. They did not ask me my current CTC and my expectations before starting the interviews. This led to wasted time for me as well as the interviewers. I will not recommend this co
A coding interview will focus on problem-solving. It is not a LeetCode style, and testing coverage is not necessary. However, walking through the solution, analyzing complexity, and implementation are important. Don't forget to clarify questions.
Had an online assessment on CodeSignal with an option to take the test unproctored. Did they expect me to use AI or not? It wasn't clear, but I did not use AI, knowing that despite it being unproctored, they still track every keystroke. Extremely le
