Perks are good. Pay is good (excluding RSUs).
US engineers are treated as second-class citizens.
It is difficult to get anything done without China engineers, and they are not usually motivated to collaborate with US engineers.
It is frustrating to work in this environment, and senior management doesn’t seem to care or even publicly acknowledge it as a problem.
The communication gap between China and US engineers is insane. There should either be a set of processes in place to allow for better collaboration or hard decoupling, so the teams are not dependent on each other.
