Pros

Allowed work remotely, less meetings. That's it.

Cons
  1. Compensation is heavily below market rate.
  2. Push too hard for everyone; it doesn't matter what your compensation is, just push, push, and push. There's no work-life balance at all, so just ask for as high compensation as you can.
  3. Almost have to work at night 5 days per week to coordinate with the China team.
  4. Manager is not reasonable at all, just expects to deliver the result on time. It doesn't matter what happens, even if an employee is sick, during long Chinese holidays, with wrong estimations, or not getting third-party credentials on time – all doesn't matter. You just have to get it done. Chinese style management: when the job is not done, it's always the developer's performance issue.
  5. Big code repository, no microservice. Developers compete to merge the code, and the master branch breaks every week, if not every day.
  6. Lots of documents, that's good, lots of duplicates and not in good shape.
  7. Everyone is busy with their own job, so don't expect to get support from other guys.
  8. Not easy for new guys to catch up. Think twice.
  9. Interview is easy; they don't care that much. Grab someone and push hard.
Advice to Management

They don't know what management is at all; the only skill they know is to underestimate the work and push hard.
