Fast-paced, goal-oriented, and overall one of the best jobs I have had
ZI is a great place to be if you love a healthily fast-paced environment. The company has been extremely goal-oriented since I started several years ago, and they thrive on achieving 1% better each day, celebrating successes (big & small) & growing with any challenges that come our way. I have never worked for a company that has cared as much about its employees like ZI does. They actually take mental & personal health seriously, which is a first for a company on my end, and I truly feel it is a major part in why they only hire amazing individuals. I have never had a job where I looked forward to seeing everyone every day AND looked forward to doing my day-to-day job. The in-office environment is nothing like anything I have ever experienced before (in a great way). What's also really cool: this company is also extremely huge on learning, growing & educating. I have consistently been learning new things every workday since I started with the company (and I usually plateau at a job after 2 years for learning & growing), and it has definitely played a major part in me growing with the company over the years.
I by no means live for my job, but I definitely can say I love my job & going to it every day, the people I work with, the educational opportunities I have been given, and everything this company has done to help make me into the professional I am today.
Honestly, I really wouldn't say there is a "downside" or any "cons" to working with this company.
Anytime I have had any issues, it ultimately landed on me as an individual and not anything the company has done itself. In fact, the company has always gone above and beyond for helping me with any "downsides" I have experienced and turned it into a big life learning lesson on my end.
After all, everything is as you make it. Separating your personal emotions from the facts is a key player as to what can make or break things.
This company actually listens to its employees, and they take all feedback seriously.
It sucks that the Research department still feels extremely cut off from the rest of the company. They are a huge playing factor in what makes us stand out from everyone else, and it would be really cool to see them more integrated with the company as a whole.
