Had a phone screen, and the interviewer was asking theory questions, like the difference between static and dynamic programming languages, and all before jumping into technical questions. Thought that was a little weird; haven't seen a focus on theory before.
The technical was a basic calculation of cost kind of question, but I had no clue what the interviewer wanted to see. I asked him, "Do you want to see OOD or just a hardcoded calculation?" His response was, "Whatever, just make the input work." Like, what?
