Java Dev Interview Experience - Bengaluru, India

Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

It was an on-campus intern + PPO offer. There were two roles: C Developer & DevTest (Java, Python, C++). I applied for DevTest.

There was one OA on HackerRank. It included 3 medium-level DSA questions and some MCQs, with a 90-minute time limit.

After the OA, there were three technical interviews conducted on Zoom using HackerRank's CodePair link.

Round 1 (50 Minutes):

The interview started with my introduction. After that, theoretical questions based on CN and OS followed for around 20 minutes. Then, one easy question based on strings and HashMaps was given. It was supposed to be fully coded. After that question, I was asked for different approaches (no coding, only approaches) to solve Two Sum in BST.

Round 2 (45 Minutes):

This round started with two DSA questions: find the number of pairs whose sum is K in a sorted array (Two Pointer Approach) and find an index in a rotated sorted array. After these, theoretical DSA questions followed.

Round 3 (45 Minutes):

This round began with a DSA question: Balanced Parentheses and a follow-up to that question. After that, theoretical questions based on OS and CN were asked.

Questions

DSA Questions:

  • Two Sum
  • Find Index in Rotated Sorted Array
  • String HashMap Question
  • Balanced Parenthesis
