After a recruiter found me through repeated emails, a manager explained the position and gauged my experience. He seemed very nice and technically inclined. He mentioned the follow-on interview would be two hours and include a system design question, like designing WhatsApp. This never happened, as one of my final interviewers dropped out at the last moment.
The other interviewers seemed ad-libbing, passing the microphone from one to another, and appeared not fully prepared. Otherwise, they seemed knowledgeable. Additionally, some questions were a bit odd.
Q: How to shut down a service. What really happens?
Q: How to gracefully shut down a program if connections are open.
Q: What setting to tweak in Kubernetes for the minimum number of pods (odd)?
Q: Difference between copy and move constructors in C++.
Q: How to change headers in the middle of a connection.
Q: Private vs. public key roles in encryption vs. signature.
