Pros

First and foremost, they respect employees here, and everyone is friendly and helpful. That sounds like a cliché to a large extent, but having worked at numerous places where I might have wished for such clichés, it's nice to actually have it in practice. The best part about the place really is the people - they take great pains to ensure they hire for not only competence but cultural fit as well. Now, having helped in that process as well as having been through it, I can see how rigorous they are in applying their standards. The work itself is challenging (and there's plenty of it), but work/life balance is well maintained. Compensation and benefits are comparable with other companies in the geography and vertical, and have even recently improved, at least in the UK. They have, and mean in practice, an open communication policy, and are serious about getting things done for customers to improve and secure their move to the cloud. (I've emailed the CEO freely, received excellent replies, and no one minded, not the least of which was the CEO.)

Cons

It's a bit of a learning curve to get your head around the different technologies in play. You will need to read a lot to get up to speed quickly.

Their new hire training is effective, and there are online certifications, but it does feel like drinking from a firehose at the start.

Advice to Management

I'd like a separate new hire technical training for technical folks, in addition to the regular new hire.
