Job Description

Accenture Federal Services (AFS) is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) / Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team of 13,000+ professionals dedicated to serving the US federal government. This role focuses on providing engineering expertise using technologies such as ePO, Splunk, ACAS, Azure Automation, STIG/SCAP, Trellix, and Tenable.

The position involves working in a team of highly qualified professionals that provide expertise in Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Systems Engineering. Your efforts will support the development and sustainment of unique secure enclaves at the edge that provide enterprise services and key cyber network defense capabilities to customers across the DoD.

As an ISSE/Cybersecurity Engineer, you'll be responsible for engineering unique solutions for cyber threat and defensive operations, automating assessment processes, analyzing security postures, and implementing critical security measures. The role requires a strong background in cybersecurity with at least 2 years of relevant experience or 5+ years without a degree.

Responsibilities For ISSE/Cybersecurity Engineer

  • Engineer unique solutions to support ongoing Cyber Threat and Cyber Defensive Operations
  • Automate threat assessment and reporting activities
  • Analyze and report system and organizational security posture trends
  • Provide cybersecurity recommendations based on significant threats and vulnerabilities
  • Implement system security measures in accordance with established procedures
  • Plan and recommend modifications or adjustments based on exercise results
  • Mitigate or correct security deficiencies identified during security testing

Requirements For ISSE/Cybersecurity Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field AND 2+ years of relevant experience; OR 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Satisfaction of 8570 IAT II requirements (Security+ or greater)
  • General cloud experience and understanding
  • Splunk experience
  • Experience updating and maintaining Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation
  • ACAS or Trellix knowledge
  • Active TS/SCI required
