We are seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to join a U.S.-based skincare technology brand specializing in advanced LED light therapy devices. This company has established itself in the direct-to-consumer space with innovative, clinically-backed products targeting various skin concerns. The role presents an exciting opportunity to work with a brand that combines healthcare technology with e-commerce excellence.
As the in-house developer, you'll work closely with the Ecommerce Manager to enhance and maintain their Shopify-based DTC and B2B sites. Your primary focus will be on modernizing the codebase, implementing custom features, and driving e-commerce growth through technical excellence. This position requires expertise in Shopify development, including Liquid templating, theme architecture, and custom functionality implementation.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills in front-end development, with particular emphasis on Shopify's ecosystem. You'll be responsible for everything from performance optimization to third-party integrations, working in a fast-paced environment that values both technical expertise and business impact. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while being part of a dynamic team pushing the boundaries of e-commerce in the healthcare technology sector.
Key technical aspects include working with Shopify Functions, custom scripts, and various integrations while maintaining high performance and accessibility standards. You'll have the opportunity to work on both B2C and B2B platforms, implementing complex features and ensuring seamless user experiences across all touchpoints.
Responsibilities For Shopify Developer
- Develop and maintain advanced Shopify storefronts with custom features, scripts, and logic
- Refactor and optimize legacy, heavily customized, non-Shopify 2.0 themes
- Audit, clean, and document codebase and theme structure
- Consolidate templates/sections and replace hard-coded logic with reusable components
- Integrate and troubleshoot key Shopify apps
- Monitor and improve site performance across devices
- Implement schema markup, structured data, and accessibility-compliant code
- Support cross-functional teams with responsive front-end development
- Translate Figma mockups into functional site updates
Requirements For Shopify Developer
- Advanced Shopify development expertise, including Liquid templating and theme architecture
- Experience with Shopify Functions, Shopify Scripts, and checkout.liquid customizations
- Proficiency with Git/version control and structured deployment processes
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with Shopify apps and integrations
- Solid understanding of performance optimization and technical SEO best practices
- Experience working in fast-paced, campaign-driven environments
- Multi-region/multi-currency support and localization experience (preferred)
- Experience with AEO implementations (preferred)
- Exposure to B2B or custom Shopify storefronts (preferred)
- Familiarity with analytics tagging and event tracking (GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel) (preferred)
