Responsibilities For Senior Security Platform Engineer - Cloud Application Security
- Design and implement automated WAF management solutions using AWS WAF Manager and Azure Web Application Firewall at scale
- Build self-service security platforms enabling product teams to implement custom WAF rules
- Develop virtual patching capabilities integrating with vulnerability scanners
- Build and maintain baseline WAF rulesets across multiple cloud providers
- Engineer log ingestion pipelines from WAFs to data lake infrastructure
- Collaborate with product teams on edge service architectures
- Fine-tune WAF configurations based on traffic analysis
- Build automation tools and frameworks for security operations
- Facilitate security architecture decisions
Requirements For Senior Security Platform Engineer - Cloud Application Security
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of security engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Go, Python, or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure security services
- Strong understanding of web application security principles
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven ability to build automation solutions
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts and CDN architectures
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with multiple WAF platforms preferred
