Description For Sr. Growth Data Scientist

Adobe's Digital Imaging Data Science Team is seeking an experienced Sr. Growth Data Scientist passionate about data and product-led growth (PLG) strategy. This role focuses on enhancing the product experience for Photoshop, Lightroom, and Fresco customers through data-driven insights.

The position involves working directly with product managers, designers, engineers, and marketing managers to align data insights with growth objectives. You'll analyze extensive product usage data sets to understand user behavior, design growth experiments, and provide actionable recommendations to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.

As a Sr. Growth Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for analyzing product usage patterns, optimizing PLG metrics, designing and analyzing experiments, developing predictive models, and building user segmentation models. You'll also collaborate with data engineers on pipeline development and maintain dashboards for insights accessibility.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of data science experience, strong statistical and machine learning knowledge, and proficiency in SQL and Python/R. Experience with data visualization tools and ability to communicate with executive-level partners is essential. Knowledge of Adobe's Creative Cloud suite is a plus.

This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $145,600 to $276,400 annually, based on location and experience. Responsibilities For Sr. Growth Data Scientist

  • Analyze product usage patterns to understand user interactions
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to improve free trial, user onboarding, and skill-building experiences
  • Identify and optimize PLG success metrics including free-to-paid conversion, activation, engagement, and retention rates
  • Design and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments
  • Use statistical methods to validate hypotheses
  • Develop models for revenue attribution, propensity to convert, and customer churn
  • Build user segmentation models to identify high-value user cohorts
  • Collaborate with data engineers on data pipelines
  • Build and maintain dashboards for test results and insights
  • Act as a trusted advisor to PLG partners

Requirements For Sr. Growth Data Scientist

Python
  • MS or Ph.D. in data science, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, or economics
  • 10+ years of relevant data science experience
  • Deep understanding of PLG strategies and metrics
  • Strong understanding of statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, and machine learning
  • Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python or R for data analysis and modeling
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Adobe Analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
