Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit integrated health system in the US, is seeking a System Engineer Associate to join their Enterprise Corporate Security Technology team. This role combines systems engineering and DevOps responsibilities, focusing on server management, virtualization, and system integration across multiple healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities For System Engineer Associate

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate server hardware and application software installations and upgrades
  • Install and support virtualization solutions
  • Develop solutions in physically distributed environments
  • Install and support device integration solutions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot system integration
  • Provide maintenance, testing, documentation and training
  • Support workstation and server administration procedures
  • Monitor and tune diagnostic imaging systems
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures
  • Participate in disaster recovery procedures
  • Monitor tasks and resources and initiate corrective actions

Requirements For System Engineer Associate

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred (or 2-year degree with equivalent experience)
  • 1-2 years of experience in Platforms, Network Communications, and Project Management
  • Experience with backup tools, storage systems, and network management systems
  • Knowledge of operating systems and vendor-specific environments
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong problem resolution skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
