The company is revolutionizing how agricultural and natural field data is captured, analyzed, and managed through their cutting-edge mobile application and cloud platform.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and agriculture, developing sophisticated 2D and 3D ML models that analyze diverse data types from multiple sources. You'll be working with state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms and deep learning frameworks to create scalable solutions that provide unprecedented transparency across the food supply chain and protected natural environments.

Based at the Alexandria Center for AgTech in Research Triangle Park, NC - the country's first integrated R&D and greenhouse site - you'll be part of a dynamic team pushing the boundaries of agricultural technology. The position offers a competitive salary range of $105,000-$145,000, comprehensive benefits including healthcare and equity options, and a flexible hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities For ML/AI Engineer

  • Design and implement innovative 2D and 3D ML/AI models leveraging agriculture and nature datasets
  • Develop advanced computer vision algorithms for analyzing diverse data types
  • Work with heterogeneous datasets to create scalable solutions using deep learning frameworks
  • Contribute to MLOps workflows including model deployment and monitoring
  • Utilize GIS and 3D modeling tools to transform geospatial data into insights
  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and subject-matter experts
  • Stay updated on ML/AI and 3D modeling advancements
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Requirements For ML/AI Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in AI/ML development
  • Demonstrated history of producing high-quality software
  • Strong programming skills in Python or C++
  • Experience in libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be US citizen or green card holder
