Job Description

Air Liquide, a global leader in industrial gases and services, is seeking a Modelling & Simulation Engineer through their VIE program in Houston, Texas. This role sits within the Strategic Operations team of ALLIUS, responsible for critical supply chain and pipeline planning operations across North America. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in industrial gas supply optimization and network planning.

The role combines data science, engineering, and business strategy, requiring strong technical skills in programming and data analytics. You'll be working with a team of 7-10 collaborators at the Houston Head Office, interfacing between Strategic Operations, SIO Technical Resource, and OCC Planning teams. This position is perfect for someone starting their career who wants to gain experience in both technical and business aspects of industrial operations.

The position offers significant learning opportunities in a matrix organization with a multicultural team. You'll contribute to process calibration, pipeline investment strategy, and help establish governance and tools that drive consistent recommendations. This is an 18-month program (extendable) specifically designed for European Union nationals under 28 years old through the VIE program, offering comprehensive benefits and international exposure.

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Data Science
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc)
  • Strong Data Analytics Skills
  • Strong Critical thinking abilities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • English fluency
  • Must be eligible for VIE program (European Union nationals, under 28 years old)
  • Ability to work in Houston, Texas for 18 months
