VIE - Modelling & Simulation Engineer(M/F/D)

Air Liquide, a global leader in industrial gases and services, is seeking a Modelling & Simulation Engineer through their VIE program in Houston, Texas. This role sits within the Strategic Operations team of ALLIUS, responsible for critical pipeline planning and product supply optimization across North America.

The position offers a unique opportunity for young European professionals to gain hands-on experience in industrial gas supply chain optimization and data analytics. You'll be working with a sophisticated operations control center that monitors over 89,000 data points and manages 2,000+ miles of industrial gas pipelines.

As a Modelling & Simulation Engineer, you'll collaborate with 7-10 team members across different departments, including Strategic Operations, SIO Technical Resource, and OCC Planning teams. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to provide reliable service to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, and steel industries.

The role combines technical expertise in programming and data analytics with business strategy, offering exposure to both operational and economic aspects of pipeline investments and customer projects. You'll help establish governance, processes, and tools that drive consistent recommendations to the organization.

This is an 18-month position (extendable once) through the VIE program, which provides comprehensive benefits including social care coverage and competitive salary.
