Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Airbnb, a global hospitality platform founded in 2007, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Cloud Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in delivering and operating the foundational platforms and cloud environment that power Airbnb's worldwide operations.

As a member of the Cloud Infrastructure team, you'll be at the forefront of building cutting-edge cloud native infrastructure on top of public cloud services. The role involves working with fundamental infrastructure components that all other Airbnb teams rely on, including compute platforms, cloud services, service mesh, cloud provisioning, and networking stack.

The position offers an opportunity to work with talented infrastructure engineers, focusing on reliability, scalability, efficiency, and high availability. You'll be responsible for delivering secure and efficient frameworks that abstract away infrastructure complexity while optimizing existing systems for better performance.

Airbnb is a member of the Cloud Native Compute Foundation's end user community, allowing for collaboration and knowledge sharing with peer companies on cloud native engineering challenges at scale. The role requires strong technical leadership, with experience in leading large-scope projects and collaborating across engineering teams.

This remote-eligible position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $204,000 - $255,000 USD, plus potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with management.
