IT Network Senior Engineer

Airbus Americas is seeking a Senior IT Network Engineer to join their team in Mobile, AL. This role combines operational support and strategic planning for the company's network infrastructure. The position is part of Airbus's Engineering Center in Mobile, which supports the design and development of commercial aircraft cabins. The facility also includes the U.S. Manufacturing Facility producing A320 Family aircraft and A220 aircraft.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of networking experience in industrial environments, with expert knowledge in LAN, WAN, WiFi, and network security. They must possess a Cisco CCIE or equivalent certification and be well-versed in various networking technologies including routing protocols, MPLS, VXLAN, and security implementations.

The role is split between operational support (50%) and infrastructure development (50%). Key responsibilities include managing L3 support, improving network performance, providing technical consulting, and developing network architecture. The position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
