Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a Satellite Control Center (SCC) Systems Engineer to join their System Delivery Germany team in Taufkirchen, near Munich. This role combines hardware and software expertise in developing satellite communication systems for both civil and military applications.
The position involves working on the concept, design, development, and technical procurement of Satellite Control Centers, including their extensions and modifications for MILSATCOM and commercial applications. You'll be responsible for maintaining satellite control centers during routine operations and will serve as the technical point-of-contact for resolving anomalies.
Key responsibilities include requirements engineering using DOORS, conducting conceptual design activities, establishing hardware and software requirements, and managing interfaces with other ground segment entities. You'll also be involved in system trade-offs, verification and validation, and operations concept development.
The ideal candidate should possess a Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related engineering disciplines, with substantial experience in spacecraft control center systems engineering. Strong knowledge of software-based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure is essential, as is business fluency in both English and German.
