Job Description

Airbus Protect GmbH is seeking a Cyber Defence Engineer to join their team in Munich, Germany. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure, focusing on protecting critical systems and managing security services for enterprise clients.

The position involves integrating customer systems into Airbus Protect's Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) platform, managing Azure cloud resources, and ensuring robust security implementations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT fields, with strong knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure.

Key responsibilities include deploying and configuring Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Defender, managing security operations, and acting as a technical point of contact during customer onboarding. The role requires expertise in security engineering across Windows/AD, Linux, and network environments, along with proficiency in programming languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell.

Responsibilities For CYBER DEFENCE ENGINEER

  • Integration of customer systems and data into Airbus Protect's MSSP tool and platform landscape
  • Supporting day-to-day operational tasks within the Managed Security Service (MSS)
  • Deploy and configure foundational Azure resources for new customers
  • Capture and analyze specific customer requirements
  • Create customer documentation
  • Support operational tasks and troubleshooting
  • Act as technical point of contact during customer onboarding
  • Deploy and connect Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Support User Account Management

Requirements For CYBER DEFENCE ENGINEER

Python
  • Completed vocational training of at least three years in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • Experience in security engineering Windows/AD, Linux, Network and Cloud technologies
  • Knowledge and experience with Azure Cloud Operations & Administration
  • Experience in programming/scripting languages (Python, Bash, Powershell)
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
