Job Description

Airbus is seeking graduates for their Global Graduate Programme, specifically for the role of Functional Validation Engineer in their Spacecraft & Systems Engineering group. This is a two-year development journey designed to cultivate professional skills, enhance business acumen, and develop technical abilities in spacecraft validation and testing.

The position is based in Stevenage, where you'll work on groundbreaking projects like the ExoMars Rover, Biomass, and Solar Orbiter satellites. As part of the Functional Verification Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring all spacecraft functions are properly tested and validated, working with both hardware and software systems.

The role involves comprehensive test cycles from specification to execution, using both numerical test benches and hybrid hardware setups. You'll be responsible for validating functional chains, developing automated test procedures, analyzing test data, and investigating anomalies when they arise.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates interested in aerospace and spacecraft engineering. The program includes rotational placements, dedicated development weeks, and direct exposure to cutting-edge space technology projects. You'll gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals in spacecraft validation and verification.

Airbus offers a collaborative environment focused on innovation, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements and global networking. The company is committed to sustainable aerospace development and maintains a strong emphasis on developing future leaders in the industry. This position provides a unique opportunity to work on some of the most advanced spacecraft projects while developing both technical and leadership skills.
