Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an Infrastructure Delivery Engineer to join their specialized team developing new communications equipment. This role combines systems administration with hands-on infrastructure delivery, focusing on SATCOM-related projects. The position bridges the gap between early-stage technologies and fully deployed customer solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration skills and networking expertise, comfortable with various distributions including RedHat, Ubuntu, and others. The role involves regular worldwide travel and requires eligibility for UK DV Security Clearance. Working in a small team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external contractors.

Airbus offers an excellent benefits package including flexible working arrangements, comprehensive healthcare, professional development opportunities through the Airbus Leadership University, and financial incentives such as profit sharing and share options. The company promotes an inclusive environment with various employee resource groups and supports work-life balance through hybrid working options and flexible hours.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level infrastructure engineer looking to work on cutting-edge SATCOM technologies while having the autonomy to work independently and travel globally. The position offers both technical challenges and the opportunity to directly impact the deployment of advanced communication systems.
