Description For Lead Security Engineer

AllTrails, the world's most trusted outdoors platform, is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to spearhead security functions across the organization. This role involves leading and managing security initiatives, collaborating with various teams, and integrating security into development workflows. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, expertise in security infrastructure, and a passion for the outdoors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and implementing the security roadmap
  • Driving automation and toolchain improvements
  • Collaborating across teams to maintain alignment on security policies
  • Integrating security into development workflows and infrastructure
  • Acting as a hands-on leader in security tool integration

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience leading cybersecurity programs
  • Expertise in security infrastructure (SIEM, firewalls, IAM, etc.)
  • Experience with software development life cycles and product security
  • Proven incident management skills
  • Experience with bug bounty programs and penetration testing
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • In-depth knowledge of security compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR)
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation
