Alpheya is a B2B WealthTech startup based in Abu Dhabi, backed by BNY Mellon and Lunate. With $300M in funding, we're building a state-of-the-art wealth technology platform to empower banks and financial institutions in the Middle East. Our mission is to grow our clients' Wealth franchises through differentiated experiences, financial solutions, and insights.
We're seeking talented Staff/Senior Software Engineers to join our dynamic team. You'll be part of building our cutting-edge fintech platform from inception, with the opportunity to go live with our first client in the next 12 months. We have multiple product areas with separate teams focusing on frontend, Node.js, and Go development.
As a Staff/Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions across our technology stack
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features
- Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Drive innovation and improvements in our development practices
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members
- For Staff level: Be the hands-on technical leader for a team
Our tech stack includes:
- Frontend: Next.js
- Backend: Node.js (experience layer), Go (system layer), Python (AI)
- APIs: GraphQL, gRPC
- Other technologies: Temporal, Kafka (Redpanda), PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Flux, Azure, Github

Requirements For Staff/Senior Software Engineer
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong background in one or more areas of our tech stack
- Ability to think in systems and approach problems holistically
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment
- Experience with cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and testing
- Excitement to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed
