Job Description

The AI/ML Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team is at the forefront of delivering artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to customers in isolated, air-gapped cloud environments. As an ADC Engineer I, you will be working with Amazon's largest government customers to address their specific needs across AWS AI/ML services in air-gapped environments.

The role requires strong Linux and networking fundamentals, with experience in large-scale distributed environments. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, conducting technical post-mortems, and implementing solutions across ADC partitions and regions. The position demands an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

You'll work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with AI/ML teammates to support the U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies. Daily activities include automation, development, and operations support for AWS AI/ML services in isolated environments. The role offers exciting opportunities to tackle unsolved problems at scale and implement innovative AI/ML solutions.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides foundational services like S3 and EC2, along with continuous product innovations. As part of the UC organization, you'll support various AWS services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps, with a focus on specialized security solutions.

The position offers comprehensive benefits, including medical coverage and 401k, and emphasizes work-life harmony. Amazon values diverse experiences and provides extensive opportunities for knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and career advancement. The compensation ranges from $81,900 to $152,000 per year based on geographic location, plus additional benefits and potential equity compensation.

This role is perfect for someone who loves solving complex technical challenges, has a passion for cloud computing and AI/ML technologies, and wants to make a significant impact in secure, air-gapped cloud environments while working with cutting-edge technologies at Amazon Web Services.
