Description For ADC Engineer III, Amazon Dedicated Cloud Relational Engineering

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an ADC Engineer III to join their Amazon Dedicated Cloud Relational Engineering team. This role focuses on supporting and advancing mission-critical services in Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC), particularly working with U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies to implement innovative cloud computing solutions.

The position involves working with Amazon's database offerings including Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, EMR, RDS, and Redshift - some of the largest distributed systems in the world. As an ADC Engineer, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, operations support, and automating operational processes. You'll investigate root causes of customer issues, analyze metrics, and work on improving system availability.

This is a unique opportunity to join Amazon's world-class Database and Analytics technical team in Seattle, working alongside top engineers while developing your skills in cloud computing. The role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, demonstrating the critical nature of the work supporting government agencies.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $139,500 to $210,000 per year, depending on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity opportunities and comprehensive medical coverage. Requirements For ADC Engineer III, Amazon Dedicated Cloud Relational Engineering

Linux
  • 5+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows)
  • Experience working with scripting languages
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (in lieu of work experience)
