Job Description

Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Engineer to join their team at Amazon Web Services. This role focuses on managing and maintaining Active Directory and desktop services, including virtual infrastructure.

The position is based in Amazon's new headquarters in Northern Virginia (HQ2), where the company is investing $2.5 billion and creating 25,000 new full-time jobs. The role requires hands-on experience with Windows systems administration, security compliance, and system documentation.

As an ADC Windows Client Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing Active Directory and related systems (DNS, DHCP, NPS, Exchange)
  • Ensuring security compliance and system hardening
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing services
  • Handling Windows deployment and application packaging
  • Working with the Security Compliance team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong Windows administration background (5+ years experience)
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
  • Experience with system documentation and technical communication
  • Problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking

  • Ensure security compliance and OS hardening
  • Manage metrics and monitoring services
  • Create and update system documentation
  • Maintain and enhance existing services
  • Handle Windows build/deployment capabilities
  • Process application packaging/deployment requests
  • Work with Security Compliance team

Requirements For ADC Windows Client Engineer, Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) - Vector

  • Associate's degree or relevant certifications (Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)
  • 5+ years supporting Windows operating systems
  • Experience with AD, DHCP, PowerShell, Email workflow, SCCM, SCOM, Win OS, DNS
  • Demonstrated ability to script in Windows environment using PowerShell
  • Knowledge of networking basics and troubleshooting
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Must be a US Citizen
