Job Description

Join AWS's specialized group supporting U.S. Intelligence Community cloud computing initiatives as an Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer (ADCE). This role combines cloud innovation with national security impact, requiring an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

You'll be part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), the team behind foundational services like Amazon S3 and EC2. Your work will directly contribute to building and maintaining some of the world's largest distributed systems, specifically tailored for government agencies requiring specialized security solutions.

Daily responsibilities include managing system health, provisioning devices, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and providing critical operational support. You'll need strong debugging skills, systems administration experience, and scripting capabilities to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities For Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, EC2, VPN, TGW, IP Management

  • Manage and monitoring systems health and status
  • Provisioning devices, assisting with data ingestion, and device cleaning
  • Troubleshooting device, network, and/or configuration related issues
  • Identifying, documenting, and communicating engineering and operations recommendations
  • Writing and disseminating after action reports
  • Providing on-call support when necessary

Requirements For Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, EC2, VPN, TGW, IP Management

Linux
  • A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
  • 1+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows or Networking)
  • Strong debugging and systems analysis skills
  • Experience working with at least one scripting language
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
