Amazon's SageMaker Low-Code/No-Code team is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to spearhead the development of cutting-edge automated ML systems. The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $136,000 to $222,200 annually, depending on location, with additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments. Responsibilities For Applied Scientist
- Lead development and implementation of state-of-the-art automated ML systems
- Create objective functions for automation of machine learning and data science
- Innovate new methods for evaluation, simplification, and creation of models
- Research in advanced customer understanding and behavior modeling techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate algorithm performance
- Communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences
- Mentor and guide junior scientists and engineers
Requirements For Applied Scientist
- PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
- Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience in professional software development
- 3+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience
