Job Description

Project Kuiper, an ambitious Amazon initiative, is seeking a Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer to join their satellite communications team. This role is part of a groundbreaking project to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites, aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide.

The position offers an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge wireless solutions with minimal legacy constraints. As a verification engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing sophisticated verification environments for testing RTL designs against reference models. The role combines technical expertise in ASIC verification with the excitement of working on space technology that could impact millions of lives.

The compensation is competitive, ranging from $129,800 to $212,800 per year, depending on location and experience. The position requires significant expertise, with at least 5 years of verification experience and strong knowledge of UVM, C, System C, and scripting languages. The team works on defining and implementing digital chip SOCs for satellite communications, involving work with modems, high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, and DSP solutions.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to combine their hardware verification expertise with meaningful work in space technology. The position offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art technology while being part of Amazon's broader mission to improve global connectivity. The role requires a unique blend of technical skills, including formal verification techniques, test automation, and system-level verification capabilities.

The position comes with Amazon's comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to work with some of the best minds in the industry. However, due to export control requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or have refugee/asylum status. The role is available in multiple locations including Austin, Redmond, and San Diego, offering flexibility in terms of work location while maintaining the excitement of working on this revolutionary project.
