Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. This role offers a unique opportunity to join the ASIC design team working on cutting-edge satellite communication technology.
As an ASIC Modem Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing wireless system architecture in silicon, from system specification through RTL development and optimization. You'll work on defining and implementing digital chip SOCs for communications between Low Earth Orbit satellites and Amazon gateways, with few legacy constraints to limit innovation.
The position involves collaborating with architects and system engineers to drive hardware micro-architecture and datapath design, implementing DSP algorithms, and optimizing designs for performance, power, and area. You'll create verification test benches and work with the verification team using System Verilog, UVM, and other modern tools.
Key responsibilities include:
The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,800 to $212,800 per year, depending on location, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in digital logic design and DSP systems to work on revolutionary satellite communication technology.
