Amazon's Operations division is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. This role is crucial in optimizing automated systems across Amazon's fulfillment centers in the London region. The position requires travel between regional sites within London and focuses on ensuring automated systems operate at peak efficiency.
As an Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing various automated systems, from conveyors to sortation systems. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, including Amazon Robotics and Complex Item Sorter systems, while collaborating with a global team of technical experts. The role involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to maximize equipment availability.
The RME team is a technically-focused group that maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment across Amazon's global network of fulfillment centers. You'll have the opportunity to work with advanced automation technology, some of which is unique to Amazon. Key responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting automated systems, working with the EU Controls network, providing data visualizations, participating in continuous improvement projects, and ensuring proper system documentation.
