Job Description

AWS is seeking Cloud Support Engineers to join their Support Engineering team (formerly Premium Support) to provide technical assistance to customers using AWS cloud services. This role involves helping customers with various use cases, learning continuously through daily inquiries, and providing feedback to service development teams based on customer issues.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Assist customers in innovating using technical expertise
  • Learn about diverse customer use cases
  • Provide 24/7 Japanese language technical support (no night shifts required)
  • Work in a team environment with global coverage

The Support Engineering team is divided into 10 technical areas (profiles) covering over 200 services. Profiles include Analytics, BigData, Database, Deployment, Development and Mobile Services, Linux, Networking, Storage and Content Delivery, Security, and Windows.

Qualifications:

  • Graduating with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree
  • Available to start work in April or September 2025
  • Basic knowledge of computer science (regardless of major)
  • Native-level Japanese language skills

Preferred skills:

  • Basic knowledge of computer science topics (networks, databases, security, OS)
  • Ability to keep up with technical areas such as web applications, DevOps, Big Data, containers, and machine learning
