Business Intelligence Engineer, AMXL Japan

Amazon's AMXL Japan team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to transform complex business challenges into data-driven solutions. This role is crucial in building and maintaining data pipelines, reports, and dashboards necessary for business operations within the Heavy & Bulky logistics network.

The position involves working with Amazon's end-to-end Heavy & Bulky (H&B) logistics network, collaborating with delivery partners who specialize in special handling services such as Room of Choice Delivery, Installation/Assembly, and Recycling/Haul-Away. You'll be responsible for creating and improving indicators and dashboards related to transportation, stable operation, and efficiency using AWS and Amazon internal tools.

A typical day involves participating in business reviews, collaborating with strategy & ops teams, developing data pipelines, creating insightful dashboards, and ensuring data quality across systems. You'll work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and may take business trips within and outside Japan to enhance skills and validate solutions.

The role combines technical expertise in data engineering with business intelligence, requiring strong skills in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools. You'll be part of a single-threaded organization focused on delivering safe, reliable, seamless, standardized, and sustainable logistics solutions that delight customers.
