Job Description

AWS Support, one of AWS's largest and fastest-growing business units, is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer for their Data Services & Analytics Kumo team. This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking, focusing on working with complex data environments and transforming data into actionable insights.

The position involves working across AWS's extensive data lake/warehouse environment, requiring expertise in creating and managing datasets while collaborating with various stakeholders including product managers, software developers, and business leaders. The role demands strong technical skills in data engineering and analytics, with opportunities to work with cutting-edge AWS technologies.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions, building ETL pipelines, and providing critical insights that drive business decisions. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Services & Analytics Kumo

  • Interface with PMs, business customers, and software developers to understand requirements and implement solutions
  • Design, develop, and operate highly-scalable, high-performance, low-cost, and accurate data pipelines
  • Explore and learn the latest AWS big data technologies
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in data processing, reporting, and analysis

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Services & Analytics Kumo

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
