Job Description

The Rapid & Rural Logistics (R2L) team at Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join their Analytics Team. This role focuses on providing metrics and operational insights for the Sub-Same Day (SSD) Delivery business, a high-growth portfolio with unique fulfillment capabilities.

As a BI Engineer II, you'll work at the intersection of data and business strategy, partnering closely with Delivery and operations teams to drive operational excellence and improve customer experience. The role requires advanced analytical skills and a passion for building automated operational management solutions.

You'll be responsible for integrating data from various source systems, developing self-service applications, and providing technical expertise in data modeling and visualization. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer II, R2L Delivery BI

  • Take detailed requirements from stakeholders to deeply understand their current manual processes and pain points
  • Think creatively to identify opportunities to solve problems using technology-driven solutions
  • Design and implement optimal automation solutions to address stakeholder needs
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and provide support as needed
  • Thoroughly document all processes, solutions, and learnings to ensure knowledge capture and sharing
  • Provide metrics, operational insights, and analytical support to stakeholders
  • Partner with Delivery and operations teams to influence strategic direction
  • Drive operational excellence and make sound investment decisions
  • Build innovative data solutions with large-scale systems

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer II, R2L Delivery BI

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with AWS technologies, data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
