Job Description

Join Amazon's Pricing & Promotions (P2) Science, Data, and Insights team as a Business Intelligence Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of shaping how Amazon prices and promotes products globally. This role combines deep engineering expertise with business acumen to manage mission-critical data and insights that influence billions in revenue decisions.

You'll be working with hundreds of PBs of data and thousands of active datasets, developing automated analytics tools that power intelligent pricing and promotions decisions. The team is currently implementing an ambitious three-year transformation strategy that will fundamentally reshape how Amazon makes pricing and promotional decisions.

Key responsibilities include developing advanced analytical metrics, building automated reporting systems, creating intuitive dashboards, and implementing sophisticated anomaly detection tools. You'll work with Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate business-impacting insights and lead data-driven discussions with Product teams.

The role requires strong technical skills in data analysis, visualization, and ETL processes, combined with the ability to translate complex information into actionable intelligence. You'll be working in a collaborative culture that values both analytical rigor and business impact, with opportunities to influence key stakeholders and shape Amazon's direction across global marketplaces.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, P2 Science, Data, and Insights

  • Spearhead business intelligence initiatives that impact Amazon's pricing and promotions strategy

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, P2 Science, Data, and Insights

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python)
  • 5+ years' experience developing key metrics and analytics that drive business decisions and actions
