Join Amazon's Pricing & Promotions Science, Data, and Insights team as a Business Intelligence Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of shaping how Amazon prices and promotes products globally. This role combines deep technical expertise with business impact, working with hundreds of PBs of data to drive strategic decisions that influence billions in revenue.

As a BIE, you'll build automated analytics tools and sophisticated anomaly detection systems that power intelligent pricing and promotions decisions affecting millions of customers worldwide. You'll work with advanced analytics technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to generate business-impacting insights and pioneer new methodologies in pricing and promotions analytics.

The P2 Science, Data and Insights team manages mission-critical data that influences major business decisions across Amazon's global marketplaces. We're implementing a three-year transformation strategy to reshape how Amazon makes pricing and promotional decisions, focusing on intelligent automation and proactive insights.

Your role will involve developing advanced analytical metrics, creating scalable reporting systems, and presenting compelling insights to senior leadership. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate across teams, and have the opportunity to mentor colleagues while staying at the forefront of BI trends.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, P2 Science, Data, and Insights

  • Spearhead business intelligence initiatives for pricing and promotions strategy

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, P2 Science, Data, and Insights

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience working as a BIE in a technology company
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics
  • Experience using SQL and Python to process data for modeling
  • Bachelors Degree
