Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, ROW SHARP Research

Amazon India's Supply Chain Research team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join their ROW SHARP (Supply Chain Analytics, Research and Product) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of supply chain innovation, collaborating with research scientists, software developers, and business leaders. The position involves developing sophisticated data solutions, analyzing complex datasets, and driving improvements in Amazon's supply chain operations across multiple geographies including India, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, MENA, AU & SG.

The role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking, requiring the ability to work with various teams including transportation, operations, finance, and platform teams. You'll be responsible for building BI solutions, implementing analytics algorithms, and creating automated decision support systems. The position offers significant influence in high-impact areas, supporting network design, labor planning, and capacity planning processes.

As a BIE, you'll have the opportunity to shape program development while leveraging your technical skills in data warehousing, ETL processes, and analytics. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, ROW SHARP Research

  • Develop data solutions for supporting research products
  • Analyze massive data sets and identify areas for improvement
  • Design, develop and establish KPIs to monitor analysis
  • Build BI solutions for Planning and Operations team across ROW countries
  • Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement advanced analytics algorithms
  • Build infrastructure and implement maintenance strategy for internal datasets
  • Partner with stakeholders in building ETLs and long term Analytics solutions

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, ROW SHARP Research

Python
  • 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as python
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
