Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS), APAC S&LP

Amazon India Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) team is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to support India Operations. This role combines technical expertise with business intelligence to protect Amazon's assets and operations. The position requires expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and business intelligence tools to create solutions that enhance security and loss prevention.

The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of data science and security, using advanced analytics to identify and mitigate risks. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated data models, creating visualization tools, and building ETL pipelines that support the security infrastructure.

Key technical requirements include proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL, along with experience in AWS services like S3, Lambda, and SageMaker. You'll need to demonstrate expertise in data visualization tools such as QuickSight, PowerBI, or Tableau, and have a strong foundation in statistical analysis.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS), APAC S&LP

  • Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects
  • Provide support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks
  • Software development and deployment support in production environments
  • Develop new tools to aid loss prevention team operations and maintenance
  • System and Support status reporting
  • Partner with business leaders to answer key business questions
  • Create strategic recommendations using data analysis

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science
  • Extensive experience with multiple python libraries
  • Experience creating, deploying and maintaining machine learning models
  • Experience with AWS technologies including: S3, Lambda, SageMaker, Redshift and IAM
  • Experience building complex SQL queries with large scale datasets
  • Experience with data visualization tools - QuickSight, PowerBI, Tableau
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with scripting language (Python, Java, or R)
  • Understanding of statistical methods
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL
