Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you will be part of a highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling fascinating and challenging problems building and supporting the operations of Amazon-owned data centers. The Amazon Commissioning team (ACx) understands, evaluates, defines, and manages the expectations of construction quality in accordance with engineering designs to meet customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems
  • Reviewing design documents, leading Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and managing third-party commissioning vendors
  • Providing multi-discipline input into scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects
  • Performing system level and integrated system testing
  • Auditing activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements
  • Comprehensive weekly reporting of status for all ongoing projects and lessons learned

The role requires up to 25% travel, both domestic and international. You'll work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across AWS engineering, capacity delivery, operations, and contractor teams to ensure the successful delivery of data center infrastructure.
